Teresa L. Shaw will be awarding a $10 Amazon/BN gift card to a randomly drawn winner during the tour.
Kezbah expected to spend another summer in Canyon de Chelly with her extended family, her dog Miho, and her pet lamb Mary.
Her mother had other plans.
Instead, Kezbah joins her aunts Rose and Daisy on their annual trip to South Dakota, where they sell Navajo rugs and jewelry at Crazy Horse Memorial.
What begins as a long drive in an old truck takes unexpected turns. A stop for food in Moab becomes an accidental sales event. Another stop in Breckenridge leaves them with even less inventory. By the time they reach Crazy Horse, much of what they came to sell is already gone.
Kezbah learns that the gathering is about more than sales. She begins making jewelry herself, meets people from across the country and around the world, and watches her aunts reconnect with people they return to see year after year.
On the long road home, Kezbah faces her fear of rapids on a Colorado river while worrying about the family she has been unable to reach. Her mysterious notebook still offers glimpses of the other Spark Riders, but not the answers she wants most.
When she finally returns to Canyon de Chelly, home is waiting for her—but something has changed.
Kezbah and the Long Road is the second adventure in the Spark Riders series.
